Aiki Jujutsu
Aiki Jujutsu
Aiki Jujutsu is a unique Martial Art form in that it has two parts which form the Martial Art. The First Part is Jujutsu also spelled Jujitsu. Jujutsu is the physical way of technique. Techniques are called waza in japanese. These waza form the Martial Art of Jujutsu. The Second Part is Aiki, Aiki means, Ai -To come together,to blend,to join,to harmonize. Ki means Spirit,or Disposition.Aiki has been defined in several different ways. The Samurai defined Aiki as the Warrior Spirit,a Command Presence of Power. Takeda Sokaku defined Aiki with the words"Defeating your opponent with a single glance". Morihei Ueshiba defined Aiki as a Universal principle that brings all things together. Aiki is Life Force, the Flow of Nature, the Union of Body and Spirit and the Manifestation of Truth. F.J. Lovret defines Aiki as "Aiki is not technique,it is a way of doing technique.Aiki is the art of imposing your will on another, a spiritual domination".
